La Sagrada Familia – Sister Parish News

Our dear Cathedral parish family and friends,

We, your Sister Parish Commission, are excited to share with you an update on the progress being made on the building of homes at La Sagrada Familia thanks to your generous Lenten contributions. Fr. Javier recently sent us an update to report that Altagracia’s home is complete and the family has been able to move in. In Altagracia’s own words, “Good morning! First of all, I would like to give thanks to God for this home that I have received. I also would like to thank La Sagrada Familia Parish, the priests and those who made this possible.  I am here with my children. Their ages are 15, 12, 10, 7, and 5 - the 2 year old didn’t want to be part of the video.

Here is the house:

  • The living room with a kitchen
  • A bedroom for the older children
  • My bedroom. (She shared her bedroom with the small children)

Thank you, Cathedral! - Thank you, Cathedral!”

On a lighter note, Altagracia mentioned that one of the girls went to the restroom a good number of times during the first day because she wanted to sit on the toilet, as this was something they did not have previously.

Many thanks for all your generous support for the building of this house that has become a home for Altagracia’s family to build many happy family memories.

In Christ your servants,

The Sister Parish Commission
Co-Chairs
Deacon Tom and Erika Pyzik
